The Korean Cultural Center in the Philippines confirms the comeback of their live screenings for their 2022 Korean Film Festival, coming this August.

The announcement came through their official social media platforms together with the official poster of the event.

The Korean Film Festival is an annual event hosted by KCC that brings feel-good and thriller Korean films to the big screens for public viewing with your friends and family. This year, the event is in partnership with the Film Development Council of the Philippines, the Korea Tourism Organization, and SM Cinemas.

While fans are still waiting for the line-up of films to be included for this year’s festival, the KCC organized a mini online content that hints at the possible titles to join the screening.

The mini event will let fans guess the names of the stars included in the pixelated photos dropped by the KCC. Guessing the name of the award-winning actors will not only help you uncover the possible films to enter the festival, but you can also win a special stationary set from Korea as a prize.

The 2022 Korean Film Festival will be screening from August 11 to 14 at selected SM Cinemas, including SM Megamall, SM Mall of Asia, SM City Grand Central, SM North Edsa, and SM Southmall.

Last year, KCC partnered with the Film Development Council of the Philippines to take the crowd-favorite festival onto digital screens. This is the first time in two years that live screenings for the film festival event will happen again after the pandemic closed down public viewings and cinemas.

More information about the event is expected to roll out in the following days, including ticketing and the official list of films.

On July 25, the KCC also opened their Experience Hall Tour Program that would allow Korean culture enthusiasts to learn more about K-culture and more. The tour is available for anyone interested, and no reservations are needed as long as you come at the designated time slots.

The Korean Cultural Center in the Philippines is under the Ministry of Culture, Sport, and Tourism and is the official cultural arm of the Korean Embassy.
