Continuous releases of teasers from different online streaming platforms had fans hooked, especially with Executive Producer Shawn Levy promising major cinematic storytelling for Stranger Things.
The Stranger Things cast and crew were recently interviewed by Total Film Magazine for the upcoming Season 5.
Coming from an international source, Levy says “Stranger Things 5 is as big as any of the biggest movies that we see.”
Matt Duffer, writer-director of the hit series, also adds how audiences will be caught up in possible scenes to happen: “You’re just going to be in the middle of it, so it’s going to feel very, very different.”
Recalling the last episode of Season 4, fans were abruptly cut-off with a scene of large spider-like legs hiding behind the clouds and all over Hawkins City.
While Season 4 had heavy emotions following Max Mayfield’s comatose state, played by Sadie Sink, and Eddie Munson’s supposed death, played by Joseph Quinn, Levy and Duffer assured fans that it was worth the wait.
Several cast members, such as David Harbour, who plays Hopper, have shown fans snippets of the production, such as the front page of the script, stills from the camera take, and even bets that the last season will raise the stakes.
According to Harbour in the ‘Happy Sad Confused Podcast’ with Josh Horowitz, “The set pieces and the things in the scripts that we saw are bigger than anything we’ve done in the past.”
The lead star, Millie Bobby Brown, who plays Eleven, explains in an interview with ‘Women’s Wear Daily’ the impact of the season finale that changed her career.
She says, “I think I’m ready. It’s been such a huge factor in part of my life, but it’s like graduating high school; it’s like senior year. You’re ready to go and blossom and flourish, and you’re grateful for the time you’ve had, but it’s time to create your own message and live your own life.”
With much anticipation, fans will have to wait until then to give their verdict on the season finale.
